Does anybody know of a reputable pet sitting service? I use to use one associated with Ashland Terrace Animal Clinic, but they are no longer in existence.
Thanks.

I've used some of the long term employees at my vet...Dr. Tai.

When in Chattaboogie, I use Homebrew Dave or Nocturnalgnome.

Hello, This is my first post to the forum. My wife and I are going on vacation in a few weeks and we've decided to use Garry Barkley, who owns his own pet sitting business, to care for our 5 cats while out of town. He seemed very nice and our cats liked him. He did a free initial visit to our home to meet us, the cats, and to go over paperwork. He seems very organized and professional. I will try to remember to let you know how things went with his service when we get back from vacation. His website is-- mypawsplus.com/Take care--

Thanks, 5cats, that's the kind of service I'm looking for. How did you hear about this person?
Babs, thanks for the idea, I'll also check with my cats' vet to see if he has suggestions.

I did a Google search for Pet Sitters +Chattanooga and sorted through the results. I don't have any personal experience with him yet other than meeting with him for 30 minutes or so at the initial in-home consultation. I checked him out on Hamiltontn.gov and he had no criminal history in the online records search for Hamilton Co. He also had no BBB complaints-- chattanooga.bbb.org/ -- search for Paws Plus Pet Sitting, Inc. He told me he is retired and started this business up to supplement his retirement income.

Thanks from me, too! We would love a house sitter, but that gives us another really great solution if we can't find one.

Well, our vacation was really nice and the pet sitter did a very good job of caring for our cats for the week. He gave one medicine daily, changed their litters daily, changed water and fed them daily. He brought in our mail too. For the whole week, we paid $189. I'm not sure what pet boarding costs, but our 17 year old cat would never survive a week in a cage.
Take care all.

For 5 cats ( I have 4), that's a great price!
