The only drive through I use is at my bank. The lovely and efficient young lady at the Regions on Hixson Pike by Highland Plaza takes excellent care of me and I'm usually on my way on less than two minutes.
As for fast "food". The crap that comes out of that window may kill you quicker and surer than cigarettes.

"If everyone diagnosed with any sort of cancer would just go ahead and die... our health insurance costs would probably be half what they are now. "
Writing as a cancer survivor, EAT SHIT AND DIE you ignorant, unfeeling, uncaring, no-account, low rent dumbass.

3 Cups Potassium Nitrate, 2 Cups Charcoal, 1 Cup Sulphur
Had some kinda fun with that recipe when I was in high school. Won me a drive home with the local PD.

Just think of all the money that could be saved on blood pressure medication and gasoline if you just went inside. Except for tsavodiner, you and your attitude are welcome to stay out in the car.

"Health food" is a bunch of crap. "Healthy food" can be found right at your grocery store, just don't look in the frozen food section or the canned food aisles. DO NOT buy chicken and pork that has been "enhanced" by the addition of up to 20% of what is basically salt water, unless you LIKE paying up to four or five dollars a pound for it. Buying "natural" or "organic" is not necessary, but bear in mind that the folks who produce mass market products are not doing so for your health at all. They do what maximizes their profit. It is their right to do so of course, just as it's your right not to buy it.

Oh yeah, eel yes, especially in sushi restaurants. Raw clams, yes, but I do agree clams are better cooked. Raw oysters, OH YEAH!
Speaking of sushi, sea urchin roe is quite the taste and textural sensation.

That's my guess.
I'm thinking he was referring to the former occupant of The White House, if indeed he was so prescient.

Snake, yes. Snails, yes. Frog legs, yes. Lizard tails, yes. Tongue, yes. Sweetbreads, yes. Hearts, gizzards and livers, yes. Not worried about what might be in sausage.
There is a restaurant in Puerto Vallarta that serves a queso dip with fried grasshoppers in it. I want to try it the next time we visit.

It would seem from the latest reports I've heard that the man who killed the two had personal grudges against them not having anything to do with the question of abortion whatsoever. Sorry to pop your bubble JT. Actually, no I'm not sorry.

We roast green beans every other day. The new roaster can do about a 1/4 pound which is enough for two days. I don't drink coffee anywhere else unless travelling. I abhor Starbux.

"jurors are pigs"
I reckon this means that LE should be judge and jury also. Maybe even executioner?
Really, I do have a lot of esteem for LE until I see statements such as this. You do realize that everyone of us out here is in the jury pool and you just called all of us pigs. I, for one, do not appreciate that. And while I realize you don't give crap about what I think, you just called Gus and JT and Red and every other non LE with a drivers license a "pig". Nice....

I do not say the man was a saint. He did not claim to be a saint. He was a human being with all the frailities that go with that.
Glad to know that so many of you are above all that.

If all of you that have expressed your non-regrets that Senator Kennedy has died had together done one percent of the good that he did in his life I would care about your opinions.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Senator Kennedy was at least able to admit that he was not perfect, something that a few of you seem to have trouble with.

You do realize they (Pink Floyd) were talking/singing about cocaine in this tune?

I would not be surprised to see Ruth's Chris open here, there will be a LOT of expense account money flowing once VW et. al. get going and that's the customer base they thrive on.
As for Dreamland, I have eaten at their locations in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa and Gwinett county, we have plenty of local BBQ that beats them hollow. The same and more for Williamson Bros., nothing special there that I ever ate. Why would you want to spend your money at a place where the profits go out of town rather than at a locally owned establishment with better food? I don't get it.
Trader joe's will NEVER happen here unless wine is allowed to be sold in grocery stores.

Bloody Mary:
Fill a rocks glass 1/2-2/3 with ice. Add 1/2 teaspoon or so of good horseradish. NOT horseradish sauce. Add a pinch of celery salt and 4-6 grinds of fresh black pepper. Add hot sauce of choice to taste. Add Worchestershire Sauce 3-5 shakes. Pour in vodka to 1/3-1/2 full. Stir. Pour in tomato juice/V8 juice till almost full. Stir. Squeeze slice of lime over and garnish with olive/celery/pickled green beans/?. Drink. Repeat as needed.

I believe I mentioned in another thread some months ago that this man was a loose cannon. I was soundly chastised for having the temerity to say that. Gee, guess who was correct on that call.

"I find it ironic the only local news lately involves witch hunters of the mainstream fourth estate and the "Green, bipedalist movement" stalking my colleagues and other posters on alternative sites such as this threatening employments and such. Seems we're making more news having an opinion that the mainstream is making opinions by having news to report!"
Dayum! And I thought I was paranoid.

"No, I don't know it and neither do you"
Yes, I do know it. I also happen to have long hair and a beard. Just as the black professor who was arrested for breaking into his own house, I am very familiar with the unadmitted biases of LE. It happens and we all know it. I don't have a LE ID to flash at anyone, therefore my a** is in jail till proven innocent. You are a very intelligent person JT, I'm just not sure about your street smarts.
