Agua frescas can be found at Taco Roc. Unfortunately the don't do breakfast, I don't think any of the real mexican joints in town do. I'd sure eat up some machaca or chiliquiles if they did.
No head shops since The Bag burned.

I can also recommend The Center for Integrative Medicine across from Engel Stadium. Both my wife and I see Jenny Bradshaw P.A. She is far from grouchy (seldom even mentions my weight) but is caring and concerned regarding her patient's health.

My preference is for beanless chili with pieces of meat rather than ground beef. However, beans do not make chili inedible to me either.

I've not eaten there in 10 years or so, but the pizza was pretty good. Nothing I'd go all the way to East Ridge for mind you, nor would I compare it to the best pizza I've had.

"Games, Jukebox, plasma tv's, etc."
So, another noisy joint.
"Awesome new menu featuring great steaks, burgers, sandwiches , appetizers & more! Come try our southwest egg rolls, blazin’ buffalo wings, texas roadhouse burger or our 12oz handcut Ribeye! So much more!"
With bar food.
I very much liked the last incarnation of this establishment. Not so sure about this one.

For an "all around restaurant" I will nominate The Terminal Brewhouse. They have burgers (beef and bison), pizza (very good IMHO), salads, sandwiches, sweet potato fries (don't bother with the regular fries), as well as beer (brewed in house) and a nice selection of hard liquor. What more could you ask for?

Oh, and why exactly would I wish to eat East Indians? Very few of them have enough meat on them to make a decent meal.

"Sorry to sound insensitive, but so what? I was put in an effin wheelchair because of a motorcycle, and i still like bikes.Hope to get a trike one day,so I can ride again. I had a very close friend killed after falling 40 ft out of a tree, and I still like trees. Have another friend that was put in a chair because his ex shot him. My friend, and I both still like girls, and guns.... "
Yeah so? My older brother rode a wheelchair for 24 years till things just finally gave out. I still drink enough to put someone who hasn't been drinking like I have for the last 40 years in a coma. Did your buddy deserve to be shot?
P.S. And your point is?

I wasn't arguing. However, I respectfully submit that that sentence, as written, actually makes no sense or point whatsoever. Alcoholism is indeed sad. Over just the past couple of years I have lost two of my good buddies during college years and one guy I went to grade school and high school with to the ravages of alcohol. Glad you find the subject humorous.

I think I understand the point you are attempting to make, however if you had invested more time in English class I, and the rest of us, would be certain.

I don't know Neal, but the restaurant was extremely mediocre the time I visited. Did not care to go back and waste more money. The restaurant business is very hard, even when you serve good food.

Writing once again from the "left wing" point of view. There are a few cases where just shooting the responsible party(s) in the back of the head would be a painless excecution and save many dollars. This is one of them.

Five dishes featuring "baby" back ribs seems excessive to me. Other than the Monte Cristo sandwich and the Country Fried Steak plate the menu could have come from any of the establishments mentioned above and probably more than a few that are not.
The worst thing is that it's a chain. I understand many people are comfortable dining where the food is the same all the time, anywhere you go. That's because it is prepared in central kitchens and shipped frozen to individual locations to be microwaved and served. Then the profits are shipped out of town to be invested hundreds or thousands of miles away. Eat at locally owned restaurants that source their goods as locally as possible. They are out there.

The Publix in Hixson has a great produce section. Prices vary by item, sometimes very competitive, sometimes not. The seafood counter is also top notch. Usually a good selection of wild caught fresh as well as the previously frozen farmed stuff. Today they had mussels for $1.99/lb., very inexpensive. For a couple of weeks they had wild caught fresh Pacific Salmon for $9.99/lb., also a great deal.
No, I do not work there.
No one market does everything, we also shop Bi-Hi, Food Lion and Greenlife.
