OMG, I go by almost every day I work to pick up something from the salad bar. Could you make some low sodium soups-or post the sodium content. I love the salad bar. Marvell and I took his sister and niece from Oxford, Miss. there for lunch last week. We all loved it! Traffic has picked up on Manufactor's rd. since the center opened. If you all ever do a cookbook let us know!

By the way, I had a veggie/hummus wrap at GLG a week or two ago, and thought there was just way too much red onion in there and not enough hummus. It was lunch time. No one who wants to stay employed can go back to the office with that much onion on their breath. Altoids won't even counter it.
Just an observation. Otherwise, I love the place...
Thanks!

Since I work in the kitchen I will pass it on that the hummus may need to decrease the onions. Keep me informed and I will always pass it on to the rest of the staff. Ceallach

If you all ever do a cookbook let us know! Hmmm, we use kosher salt, as for the soups I am not sure how to label the sodium content but will look into the math. Since my batches are made several gallons at a Time I need to research the math. I will see what we can do. I prefer to let the customer add the salt they want and wish we used sea salts. Hmm, I will do some math on this. and pass it on to the powers that be. Ceallach

Sea salt still is high in sodium. I love your vegetable soup! The veggies are so fresh. I usually run (not literally) through the salad bar.

Ceallach, what to you use to thicken cream soups? My daughter cannot have wheat, so I am wondering if you use flour or maybe cornstarch or arrowroot?

If the soup is made by myself and vegan I use arrowroot. The other soup guy uses rue. So this is another addition I am working on. If it has meat and is thick it is probably flour. For safety reasons I can let you know that. I will get to looking at the recipies and cards today.. Ceallach

I would like to see some competition for Greenlife move in to help control their prices. Earth Fare like the one at Turkey Creek in Knoxville or Natures Food Patch like in Clearwater Fl would be good.

I did and Greenlife beats them by a mile.

Competition never hurts... I can say that I make everything from scratch though... Cept for maybe canned tomatoes, and some of our beans in the chili but they are Eden Organic. Pricing my own ingredients is well... You get what you pay for and we do try to go above and beyond...

I am at Greenlife at least twice a week, I love the whole store atmosphere and the friendly and knowledgable employees. Ceallach, I will have to say hi to you next time I am in there!
I buy a lot of gluten free, organic and other "health food" items. I shop on the internet, and drive to Atlanta and Knoxville occasionally to shop. Greenlife may be a bit pricier than other stores in the area, but you get what you pay for.

I have not been to the new Greenlife yet but plan to go soon to check it out. The best I have been to yet has been Natures Food Patch in Clearwater FL. You could hide several Greenlifes in Earth Fare. Village Market in Collegdale is slowly going to pot.

I think I saw you today. You were stirring the soups, and maybe checking a thermometer?

I would like to add that Greenlife has a staff of friendy and knowledgeable people. I was working on the store for about six months prior to them opening and met alot of the staff while they were getting ready to open. They live the lifestyle of the products they sell so if you have a question they really have a good answer. To be honest I thought "organic" "tree huggers" "hippies" "health nuts" were kinda wierd. After working and being around some of the staff my opion has changed. Not sure if I met Keely but Tammy(store manager) and Charlie(chef) are good people so if you shop introduce yourself to them.

Right off the bridge on manufacturer's road. On the North Shore side. You know North Chatt? We are open from 9 to 9 I think...

Before I left Chatt to Cleveland almost 10 years ago now there was no such thing as "North Shore side" lol or at least I never heard it called that. I'll have to know the area by old skool terms. Or at least late 80's....to mid 90's terms lol
I do know where the Manufacturers road exit is off 27 if I am headed north on 27 what do I do?

I was in two weeks ago and has some tomato basil tortellini soup, fantastic! Slightly on the spicy side, very nice, I really enjoyed it. Everything else looked good, in time I will try them all.

I had that soup, too. Great! I tried the tofu, cabbage soup this week. Ok, but salty. I'm sorry the old Greenlife closed. I didn't think the two stores so close would last. There was no warning. One of business people who worked next door to the store walked over for his usual lunch and bumped into the door when it didn't open. More inventory for the new place!
