She's Back.
A couple of months ago, I reported that Crazy Beer lady had made a habit of sitting on the planter in front of the Lion's club drinking beer. This was annoying to me because she would leave her empty cans all over MY property. This looks really bad to my customers to see beer cans all over the place. It's annoying to me because I'm the one who has to clean the stinky things up and they aren't all empty, some are 1/2 full. That makes them smelly, full of bugs and just plain GROSS!
She was arrested in the Fall when the Lion's called the cops on her for leaving FULL cans under their bushes. We didn't see Crazy Beer Lady for a couple of weeks. I can only guess she was in jail. Then she cam back. My niece who works part time got the lovely job of cleaning up beer cans one day when the Drunk came by with a bag of cans. Niece yelled at Drunk to USE THE TRASH CAN because we were tired of cleaning up after her. Drunk mumbled something at her then wandered on through the yard and threw her trash in the creek.
After that, the beer cans started showing up in the semi-circle retaining walls across the front of our parking lot. (There were trees growing there at one time which were removed long before we bought the place.)
Today, favorite niece and I had the lovely job of packing up all the cardboard & stuff to take to the recycling place down the street. Naturally, we got bags and went to pick up the beer cans. About a third of the ones near the street were still half full. Then we went to check under our bushes on the side. Crazy Beer Lady has been loading up the space between my A/C unit and the wall! There were empty plastic 6-pack rings everywhere and bags and bags, mostly with one to three FULL cans each! There were less than a dozen empties there but at least 30 FULL cans!
That's when I told the niece that back during Christmas Break, I had seen two pre-teen (Middle schoolish) boys get off their bikes and look under the bushes at the Lion's club AND on my side. They didn't FIND anything that day, but they obviously knew where to look and what they might find. At the time, I was hoping that Crazy Beer Lady's trip to jail had cut off the free beer flow.
Niece and I took all those bags of full beers down to the Police Station and handed them over. I told the officers that I wanted to make a Report or a Complaint or whatever they want to call it about Crazy Beer Lady leaving that crap on MY property where the local KIDS know to come look for it. I Do NOT want to be the one hauled into jail for ALLOWING this crap to happen on my property! I know that if I was the mother of those boys picking up beer, I'd be screaming for as many heads on pikes as I could find.
The Senior officer that I spoke to first asked where this was happening. When I said "Next door to the Lion's Club" he kind of rolled his eyes in that "I know exactly who you're talking about" way. He instructed a younger officer to take my statement and get my information while he moved all the cans into another room. The younger officer listened to my whole story, wrote down my contact information, then said that he would put all the info on a detective's desk on Monday. We'll see what happens next!
